It’s only the 2nd week of school and people (myself included) are falling victim to sickness. Most of the people I sit with got sick on Saturday just like me. Nothing too bad, just cold symptoms. I would rather this not be happening, but whatevs!
Other than that school has been great. How about for Oppo?

I’ve been sick all weekend. Sunday night and Monday afternoon were total hell. Now I can’t really hear or smell. And I have this god awful cough. Hopefully it’ll be done soon.
Usually I recover faster...

Sorry to hear that. :( Mine hasn’t been too bad. It started Saturday with a sore throat then transitioned to a runny nose.
Drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest!

Welcome to one of our fine institutions where we take large numbers of people with questionable hygeine practices from a wide variety of places and put them all together in one place to share.

I started having a sore throat Sunday night. I woke up in the middle of the night/early morning Monday to discover I couldn’t breathe. Couple that with a migraine, low-grade fever, and well, it stinks. Still pretty bad today, but 800mg of Ibuprofen this morning, and Tylenol Cold and Flu throughout the day have been keeping me semi-functional, if barely awake.

Ahaha, I totally see this happening in my Business administration class (I’m like the only sophomore in it). The class kind of lends itself to that attitude though.

Are you a senior? Being sick as a senior was great because there was so little to do that year as is

I feel your pain. Like clockwork, I always used to get a cold right after the start of school. Get better

Most of my classes are either fully seniors or a mix between seniors and juniors who tried harder than I did. Then lunch is a massive conglomerate between the grades that’s annoying but I’ve got friends for that. Senior study halls rock though.

Bwhaahahhahaha! Getting sick sucks. Knowing it’s because someone who didn’t bother to wash their hands after sneezing into them touched something that you had to touch too makes it even worse.
The best time to be on a college campus is the summer. The worst time is the fall. Everyone gets sick and there are car crashes everywhere. It takes incoming freshman at least a semester to calm down and figure out the roads.
I spent way too many years in the college environment....

My school does block scheduling and we have 4 different lunches. What lunch you get depends on what class you’re taking during 3rd block (4 blocks in a day). It really makes it hard to see friends that you want to see. :-|
I have study hall during second marking period. Interested to see how that will go.

It helps when other people are struggling with you though... Don’t you think so?

We have 4 separate lunch periods out of our 9 period day but it’s to split up the kids into different lunches.

Junior year was so damn easy though

i worked my butt off for about 3/4 months in senior year to bump up my GPA and make sure i could skip my Finals. Once the new year hit I barely lifted a finger lol

This is why I am glad I graduated from school already. Have not gotten sick once since living in the adult world. Usually I would get colds like every winter from all the people with weak immune systems crowding in a room that is 80+ degrees while its -10 or less below zero outside.

“Junior year was so damn easy though”
I wish I could say the same thing...junior year has been hell for me so far, but it’s kind of my fault...all school related though, because apparently 5 APs seemed like a good idea at the time...

Haha same...took AP Physics 1 last year and it was the first class where I actually flat out did not know what I was doing...turns out it’s not the last, although I do think physics is more conceptually challenging than Chemistry...

The big issue is the chem teacher sucks. She’s cranky and old grades hw on actual answers not completion and gives pages upon pages of notes.
The physics teacher rocks. Its just a lot harder than I thought it would be.

We have a similar situation; our physics teacher is an awesome, five foot tall Filipino lady who is friendly and kind but no one can ever follow her lectures or lessons...on the other hand, our chem teacher is perhaps a few inches taller and of Caucasian background and is always in a rush and is more disorganized than most of her students although she is reasonable at teaching and truly has the initiative for making sure all of us understand the subject...
